Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola
The sun rose for the next great day in the B.V.I. For breakfast, Eloise and Ella cooked us a great meal of scrambled eggs. After breakfast, we sat at the table and chatted about with Josh how pterodactyls aren’t dinosaurs for a solid twenty minutes. Falling into the afternoon, Diego, Pablo, Josh, Matthew, JJ, Max, and I went wakeboarding. On the super dinghy, we rode over to Friend Ship to pick up the wakeboard and kneeboard. During wakeboarding, I saw Pablo, Diego, Max, JJ, and Matthew kill it on the wakeboard doing jumps and switching feet. Going back to the boat, our boat set up our dive gear for our peak performance buoyancy dive two. Once everything was set up, Max – my buddy – and I did our buddy check, which goes by “big whales really are fun”. Which is an acronym for checking our equipment to make sure it works right. Once we got in the water Max and I went to the descent spot, and we all descended onto the sand highway, which is a wall of reef on each side, and then a highway of sand in the middle. On the bottom, Max, Tate, and I took off our fins and did flips, and swam through a hoop. Then I shared a small pack of Jimmy’s underwater with Max, and it was soon time to go do our safety stop at 5 meters/15 feet for three minutes. Once everyone surfaced, we inflated our BCDs and swam back to the boat, where we disassembled our gear and had lunch. For lunch, Antonio, our gofer, took out the bread and condiments, and other lunch supplies. Going into the end of the day, everyone took a hibicleanse shower and went underway to our next location Cane Garden Bay, where we had dinner, which was Thai curry night cooked by Eloise, Ella, and Max. After dinner, we cleaned up and settled down for the evening, where all the Aquarius people had sail chat. Tomorrow will be another great day on the second wind with an early wake-up to go hiking.
