Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

After an abundance of rest throughout the boat, we started the day with our first oatmeal breakfast with Peyton and Rina as chefs. Following the cleanup, we scavenged for a super-dinghy to start a chill morning of water sports with the other Minerva boat. After Roman’s light, non-painful wipeout on the kneeboard, we came back in to lift our anchor to head to Spanish Town. The anchor turned out to be a 30-minute lifting process that required a strong set of individuals to lift the secondary anchor in by hand. With a 1-0 record against our secondary, we finally went to Spanish Town to make a quick stop for groceries in preparation for our night sail, which got delayed for sunrise early tomorrow morning because of wind conditions. With the extra time, we headed to The Baths for a good time at the beach and adventuring into the caves for a cliff jumping spot at the exit. For the final time today, we returned to the boat to set up anchor at Mountain Point, arguing about which of the mansions on the hillside were resorts or homes. Having an extravagant chili dinner in our system, we’re ready for a good night of rest, popcorn, and movies. Tomorrow, we have to get up early for the long sail to Saba.
