Location: Sommer's Beach, Tortola
Today we spent all day at Muskmelon Bay. We woke to strong winds, dark clouds, and rain- not particularly the best weather- but the storm soon passed (though the clouds never completely dissipated). For breakfast, we ate scrambled eggs and blueberry muffins- always a favorite. We started our day of activities with a relaxing scuba dive and then proceeded with a wakeboarding/waterskiing session. For lunch, Tess and Noah cooked up a fabulous lunch of tortilla soup- Andy’s favorite meal. Everyone enjoyed it! After lunch, we crafted nautical sailor bracelets called Turk’s Heads with Anna. Some of us had more difficulty than others, but it all worked out in the end. Following bracelets, we headed back to our boat to learn about the dangers of plastics and their direct effect on sea turtles (because Lifeworks was tagging turtles today). A little later we motored over to Sommer’s Beach for the fantastic beach BBQ! Everyone loves a good beach BBQ because we get to hang out with friends from other boats (and there are no dishes to do!) Overall it was a great way to end a relaxed day in the Caribbean.
