Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Hi my name is Lorelai and I’m summarizing our second rotation day. Today started off with water-sports, including wake boarding, knee boarding and water skiing. Gabby, Laila, Elias, and I were on the boat together, but only Gabby and Elias did knee boarding. Elias got up and stayed up for a while. During that Evan, Angie, Vanessa, and Reid did wake boarding on another boat. Angie and Reid did a backflip on the wake boards! What???
Next station, water snorkeling for the new open water diving kids in the mangroves and the advanced divers, Evan, Reid, Elias and I did work in our dive books. After that we had a quick lunch and went to paddle boarding. We had two different groups for the paddle boarding so we could do relays. The first group was Evan, Reid, Mar, Angie, Gabby and I. The second was Ella, Vanessa, Sedora, Laila, Elias, and Krisi. Group 1 won but there was some struggle for both groups. Both Gabby and Krisi struggled with the turning when going around the action quest boat, an obstacle in the relay. The second relay was the same groups but pairs of two on the boards. Angie and I were on the board together and had to go last. We had a big lead and took it easy and when we returned to the beach at the end of the relay, we saw that the second group forfeited because they couldn’t make up that gap.
To finish up the day we did zesting on little boats and laid on the beach with our friends from our boat and others. After a long day of bad burns but luckily no heat rashes, we had burgers for dinner and cleaned up the boat once again.
