Location: Nelson's Dockyard, Antigua

We woke up at 8:30 am, allowing everyone to sleep in after an eventful night’s passage. Missy and Benzie prepared pancakes paired with the option of Nutella or maple syrup for breakfast underway. Both Alex and Johnathan mentioned breakfast in their appreciation for the day during the squeeze. Once we arrived in Nelson’s Dockyard, we finally had a chance to do our laundry and replenish our snack cabinet with a trip to the grocery store. We made our way back to the dock and regrouped in preparation to go on a historical tour around the boat yard. This tour focused on the history of Nelson’s Dock during the 1800s. Noah thought it was cool that there used to be a chain at the bottom of the channel that was used to stop enemy ships from entering Antigua. After the tour, the group spread out, and everyone had a chance to grab some food and look around shops, meeting back at the dock at 5:30. Audrey, Miranda, and I ate cheese pizza and humus at a local pizza place. Back at the boat, we ended the night with sail chat and brownies that Ana and Sophie made.
