The Best Day Ever
We woke up at 6:30 to start the treacherous 9-mile Mt Sage hike. As we all got shuttled from our boats to the dock, it started raining. We did not think much of it until we started walking. After we completed the hardest part of the hike, which was a 1-mile slope that was at a 45-degree angle, it started to pour rain like crazy. We all continued the hike, and 2 hours later, we finally got to the top. It was a bit annoying because we just saw fog at the top and not any of the amazing views but it was still a great experience. After we got down, which only took an hour, it was still raining. We all got lunch in our soaked clothes, and it was not too fun because the rain was cooling the air down, so we started to get cold. We made a quick stop at the grocery store before we got back on the boat to get some snacks. After we got back on board, we untied from the mooring ball and headed to Marina Cay, which was a small, protected sandy island. After we had some fun making sand castles and splashing around there, we pulled up the anchor and headed to Sidney’s, where we had a barbecue and bought some apparel. When we all finished, we headed back to the boat and had a movie night.
