Location: Sommer's Beach, Tortola
Today was another great day! When we woke up, we had eggs and cinnamon cake for breakfast. We then got dressed and learned about the inner workings of our boat, like the maintenance of the engine and generator. After that, we got onto the dinghy and went to Mere Cat, the dive boat. After we got on, we got on all our scuba gear and jumped into the water for our third open-water dive. In our dive groups, we performed various skills with our instructors, such as a controlled emergency swimming ascent and controlling buoyancy. We then swam around and looked at the amazing coral reefs and marine life around them. After we got out, we drove the dinghy back to Breakaway and had vegetable soup for lunch. We then learned how to tie various anklets and bracelets with Kackie and swam around the boat when we finished. After that, we got on the super dinghy for watersports. Morgane did a flip on the wakeboard as Amelie recorded her. After that, we chilled on the boat, then got ready for the beach barbecue that we quickly motored to. We drove the dinghy onto the beach and met with the rest of the Action Quest fleet. There, I got to meet new people and see my cousins, Lulu and Maggie, who are on Soul Rebel and Xanadu, respectively. After eating barbecue food like burgers and hotdogs, we hung out with other boats and listened to other action quest experiences from everyone else on the other boats. The day came to a close as we arrived back on Breakaway and took showers. Now, as I’m writing this, we are gearing up for bed and a 6:30 wake-up.
