Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

We woke up to the song “Here comes the sun,” which did not make much sense because the sun was already up and blinding me through my cabin hatch. Breakfast was pancakes as all of the staff members gathered on the island of Marina Cay for a staff meeting. After the staff returned and everything was cleaned up from breakfast, we set motor towards Mountain Point for an independent dive in preparation for our final night dive. Other than those driving the boat (hopefully), basically everybody was asleep for the hour or so of driving to the dive spot. In our separate groups, we had to fully plan the dive to get us used to dives without the instructors. The dives went smoothly, with everyone making it back to the boat, so we are now all ready to do the same thing at night. We ate a lunch of ramen noodles after the dive and prepared to move to the next dive location. After two hours of motoring and a lot more sleeping, we jumped into the cold waters of Musk Melon Bay to snorkel to the night dive site. We ate a meal of chili and rice, awaiting the call to gear up and get into the water for our final night dive.
