Location: Saba

The crew headed ashore and grabbed a taxi from Fort bay, and followed the leafy tropical roads up the winding island roads to one of the island 2.5 villages called Windward. While there, the students chose their own adventure and split up. Adam and Mason choose to hike up to the highest point in the Netherlands, Mount Scenery. The hike is extra special as it covers dessert, a rainforest, and ends above cloud level. Along the route, you can stop and take in many vistas of the lush island that resembles that of Jurassic Park with its rugged landscape and sprawling canopy. Emilia, Julia, and Ainsley spent some time working on one-of-a-kind glass jewelry with the renowned Jo Bean. Some got inspiration from the ocean, while others the lush landscape.

Meanwhile, Ella, Rainey, and Gala grabbed a coffee and pastry in a cute coffee shop and wandered around the local shops. Brennan, of course, made sure to stock up on snacks and collect as many unusual flavors of Pringles as possible. The group then came back together and headed back to the boat where passage prep was completed, and we departed for St. Barths. It was so nice to enjoy an evening sail all together, watching the sunset and the moon rise while having dinner underway. The crew enjoyed many giggles playing games, and solving riddles. We arrived in Gustavia around 9 pm and went to sleep excited about the new island we would explore tomorrow.
