Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

Today we started off with a delicious meal of cereal and did a dive briefing for our first dive of the day. We had to do our second navigation dive in which we practiced the 5-point turns. Sedona, my dive buddy, and I absolutely killed it, and the other groups did as well (probably not as good as us, though). When surfacing from our dive, we were greeted with a giant, delicious pot of Mac and cheese made by Tommy. This was definitely my favorite meal so far because I am always so hungry during our dives, and all I think about is food. After lunch, we began gearing up for our second dive of the day, which was a fun dive. During this dive, we were allowed to go off with our buddies and do solo dives without being led by the counselors. For a lot of people, this was their first solo dives with their buddies. I was a little nervous because I hadn’t dived with just a buddy in a while, but Sedona and I combined with Dylan and Toby to make a great group. We didn’t see many animals on the dive, but it was by far my favorite because it was so calm, and we all just chilled at the bottom for a solid 5 minutes at the end of the dive and just hung out.

Sedona did make all of us nervous at one point, though, because she started playing with a jellyfish and accidentally got super close to the surface. After we got up from our dive, everyone tanned and chilled for a while. On the way back to Mountain Point, we worked on our Emergency First Response book and did a knowledge check. When we got back to Mountain Point, we got the chance to do water sports for the first time. I went with Dylan, Toby, and Sedona and just watched. I loved watching and riding at the front of the boat. Dylan and Toby killed it on the wakeboard, and Sedona, who had never water skied before, skied like an absolute pro.

After everyone finished water sports, we had garden burgers with baked beans and mashed potatoes for dinner. The garden burgers we soooo good. After dinner, we did squeeze. My question of the day was: if you were stuck on a desert island and you had to have one food, watch one movie, and listen to one song, what would they be. Next, we all sat in the saloon and played cards. I was undefeated until George beat me last night. I took it really hard because I taught George how to play less than three days ago, and he beat me. It was a close game, but he did take the victory. After we finished our game, we had to watch a video that went along with the primary and secondary care book we worked on earlier in the day. Piling all 13 of us into a very small room for almost 2 hours straight is difficult but mostly very sweaty. Luckily Katie made us these AMAZING brookies (brownies and cookies combined) with Oreos and Chips Ahoy. After everyone was filled up with our dessert, we all headed to bed. This was one of the more busy days but definitely my favorite. We made so many memories that I’ll never forget, and I can’t wait to make more.

Also, hi, mom, dad, and Josie! I love and miss ya’ll so much!!!
