Bagels and cream cheese were the perfect way to start the day after everyone woke up 30 minutes before our decided time. We knew we had a long sail ahead of us, so we ate quickly and got right into our clean-up. Around 7:30, we started our sail to Blue Chromis, where we would complete our second dive. While underway, the group completed section one of our Rescue workbooks and our Underwater Navigation knowledge review. Upon arrival, we immediately began to prepare our gear for our dive. After a short dive briefing, we giant-strided into the water and began completing our rescue diver skills (cramp release, oral inflation of our BCDs, regulator to snorkel transfers, and practicing how to overcome vertigo.) We ended the dive with a fun swim around the reef to see the beautiful blue Chromis (a blue damsel fish,) which the dive spot was named after. Peanut butter and jelly hit the spot after we came out of the salty water filled with hunger. Soon after our lunch, we sailed to Savannah Bay, and our wonderful chef’s started our amazing dinner, which consisted of Alfredo pasta and hot dogs. There was a beautiful sunset while we went over our workbooks from earlier in the day and watched the first video lessons for Rescue and Navigation. We ended the day by sitting in the blue lagoon and chatting about our excitement for our future adventures. Overall it was a very productive and great day.
