Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

Today started out with waking around 6:30 at the Sand circles and eating eggs. Then we learned about oceanography with Sam before we did our Navigation dive. During the dive, we had to use our compass to find our way around the reef and back to the boat. After the dive, we ate chicken salad sandwiches for lunch and tanned on the roof. Shortly after lunch, we headed back to Savannah bay to explore the beach and take a hike across the island to another beach. At each beach, we had to find something that spoke to us (shells, coral, trash, etc.). On the leeward side of the beach, we saw two baby lemon sharks, and on the windward side, there was a bunch of sargassum (seaweed) and trash because of how the wind would push it up onto the beach. Back at the boat, we swam and jumped into the water, then enjoyed laying on the roof and tanning. Now we are about to eat chili and rice before we go over to the boat “Round two” for a night diving lecture.
