Location: The Bight, Norman Island

Today, we did not go by our regularly scheduled wake-up song. At bright and early 6 in the morning, we were woken up to yells in the water for a scenario. As the heroic rescue students we are, Matthew and I leaped into the water first to help the panicked and tired divers. Dawson kitted up and jumped in shortly after to rescue an unconscious diver, as well as perform CPR on them once back on the boat. Despite the early rise, vibes were high as always. After we dried off and debriefed, Lucy and Matthew began to whip up some pancakes, which were massively elevated in flavor by Humphrey’s generous donation of his blueberries. Following cleanup from Declan and Dawson, we moved the boat over to the Fearless, the wreck we would dive today. Once tanks were full, we hopped in the water for one of the deepest dives yet, where Rachel and Ruby held hands the whole time. As always, Maddie’s GoPro came in clutch with some sick photos, this time with all the lion fish around the wreck. In fact, two lion fish were posted up behind the throne of the wreck (a toilet seat).

After Player’s agile rescue of a different dropped GoPro in the wreck, we ascended to head to Road Town. Showering underway, we made forward movement of the boat towards the dock to get on shore. Roman and Redden got some delicious burgers, while Scarlett kindly begged the local BVI store owners to open up their shops for the shirt she REALLY REALLY wanted. Once back on the Knot, we made our way to the anchorage. During the motor over, we reviewed our rescue/Emergency First Responder tests, getting ready to submit our paperwork. Eventually, we made it to our anchorage for the night, and we’re in despair once again abandoned by our staff for their staff meeting. Not to worry, our very self-sufficient boat made dinner perfectly to everyone’s liking by the time they got back. Now, we’re settling down to write our cards to each other for when we all leave. A very bittersweet second to last night of the trip
