Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

Hey, Why Knot family!! This morning, we woke up bright and early to the song Dancing Queen from Mamma Mia blasting through the speakers. After everyone finally opened their eyes, our staff left us for their meeting, and Dawson and Matthew began cooking up some banana pancakes as we waited for them to return. As he was cooking, Dawson figured out how to flip pancakes straight onto the pan and was extremely surprised with himself. After breakfast was done and the staff returned, we began our sail to a wreck near Mountain Point called the Kraken. Originally named the Kodiak Queen, the Kraken is a ship that came from Pearl Harbor. Later, it was sent to Alaska to lead a fleet of ships in the Kodiak Islands. Going back to the BVIs, it washed up on shore after a devastating hurricane in 2010. To begin our dive briefing, Player pulled out his random number generator, aka Siri, switching up our dive buddy pairs. Evan and I paired up, and Ruby and Humphrey had the privilege to reunite as buddies from their old Good Times boat family.

After descending, we realized there were A LOT of jellyfish in the water, and we all began stressing out, fearing we would get stung. Thankfully, no one got stung. The dive was beautiful. We saw many schools of fish, and Humphrey found a large porcupine fish hidden in one of the portholes. After ascending, we made ourselves some bowls of ramen, and we girls worked on our bracelets on the hardtop as we made our way to Muskmellon Bay. The sail over was very calm, where Roman and Ruby took a long nap, as Scarlett, Madison, and I worked on our tans. Once we arrived in Muskmelon Bay, Madison, Ruby, Humphrey, Evan, Redden, and I snorkeled the area to check out where we would later descend for our first and only night dive of the session. Along the way, Ruby and Madison spotted squid behind the rocks. Once we returned to the boat, our amazing chefs whipped up some veggie tiki masala for dinner and then began our squeeze. My squeeze question for the night was “What was your favorite AQ memory of all time?”, where everyone gave unique answers. It was really entertaining to hear everyone’s past boat memories. After we squeezed, our whole boat jumped into the ocean and watched the sunset before we began kitting up for tonight’s night dive. For tonight’s dive, our boat split into two large groups. My group descended for 35 minutes, but unfortunately, due to some navigation errors, our other group was only underwater for 13 minutes. After finishing our dive, we took our ocean shower and got ready for a “quiet” night!
P.S.: Hi Dad and Harlan! I miss you so much! I am having the best time, and I can’t wait to call. Love you so much!
