Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
The day started with a gloomy overcast approaching our boat early in the morning, but the mood slowly changed and started to ramp up after a delicious egg burrito breakfast made by Lila and Lily. After we cleaned everything up, we all got dressed and threw on our life jackets and quickly moved the boat to the mooring ball sitting over the kraken ship wreck. The kraken is an old WW2 ship that the dive masters have been on more times than we can count, but it never fails to leave us in awe. The Vega girls headed over to Nomada to take their open water exam first thing after breakfast, while the DMs kitted up to dive the wreck. Once in the water, Hayden, Tyler, and I grouped up and descended down the mooring line to fully map the massive wreck. Post dive alex and i went to the top of the boat to catch some sun and relax while Avi and Lila went back down to dive the wreck one more time. Then we moved the boat to the coral wall around the corner and had some delicious ramen for lunch before the whole boat split off into different groups to dive the coral wall. The Vega girls (Juliette, Lily, Alli, and Aggie) went with Alex and Tyler to do their first open water dive, while Wylie, Hayden, and I headed over to Hope to lead the other open water divers and to do A LOT of tank runs. While i was down there i saw a handful of different species such as bar jack, lion fish, sting ray, and some lobster. Once the boys and i returned back to the boat we had a massive thanksgiving meal waiting for us and let me tell you it was amazing. Now the DMs are about to study up on chapter 9, so I gotta run, but overall it was an amazing day.
Love and miss ya, pops
