Location: West End, Tortola
We woke up this morning at 7:00 am to the Star Spangled Banner (featuring Emma) and ate our breakfast, which consisted of oatmeal, cereal, and melon. We then got ready for our race, where everyone wore colored zinc on their face and blue, red, and white swimsuits in celebration of the 4th of July. Unfortunately, we were unable to win the race, but we got to throw peanut butter sandwiches to one of the other boats, Harbour House Out. (We cleaned their boat up after, don’t worry!) As we sailed back to West End, which is where we started this journey, we spent a couple of hours deep cleaning the boat and packing our bags. After cleaning, Will ordered us some pizza, which we devoured in minutes. Then we had some shore time where we all went to the cafe. Ellery, Anna, Coco, and Elle all got the Cinnabooty Latte and Oatmeal cookies. Gwynnie and I got smoothies, Clara, Lilly, and Sloane also got a latte, and David bought an overpriced glass bottle of water, which he shared with Bryce and Blake. When we came back to the boat, we all had our phones for half an hour to check into our flights and call our families. Then, everyone started getting ready for the final barbecue. We headed to the barbecue at around six and had a delicious meal consisting of curry, salads, hot dogs, and burgers. We then had a meeting with Mike to discuss our traveling plans for tomorrow, and closed off our fabulous time here with a reading of a Dr. Seuss book. We then all talked with the other boats and had so much fun!
I had a lovely time being on Glad 2 B Here, I just want to say thank you to everyone for making these past 3 weeks so special, it was an experience that I’ll never forget!!
