Friends and family, welcome to Kellan’s entry in the AQ blog! Bella, Sam, Jacob, and Ada woke up bright and early to start the day strong with a morning workout on the top deck. Jacob and George cooked up some yogurt and granola with bagels. Rotation day began at 8 am with skiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding. Ada knee boarded and Maci wakeboarded. The frat boys were still recovering from the tug of war, so lots of people decided against the water sports. We then headed straight to the dive master’s boat to scuba dive (our rivals). Margot, Chloe, Bella, and Ada couldn’t stop laughing underwater (yes, while scuba diving).
We then returned to the boat for grilled cheese sandwiches and LOTS of Nutella. We then got ZESTYYYYYY (for those who don’t know, “zesting” is a certain type of sailing that consists of two people jumping from side to side and steering a tiny sailboat). Elin and I (Kellan) were getting really zesty. After getting the sailboat fixed, we set out for redemption and failed within two minutes. We turtled (the boat flipped completely upside down in the water) and upon falling in the water I was stung a mysterious animal and Elin got a scab on her nose. After some blood and sweat, we finally flipped the sailboat right side up. In the end, Elin and I had to be towed back to the boat, and while being towed, the boom fell off AGAIN hitting Elin and I AGAIN (shocker). George and Sam had a great time zesting, as did Grace and Annika. Molly is now halfway through a book she started today called “Heart Bones”. We then ended rotation day with ship systems, and star guest Mike came along with us. For those of you who don’t know, Mike is completely in charge of ActionQuest, so this was a pretty big deal. We ended the night with some incredible Mexican food, which left the dishy pit practically in tears due to the overflowing dirty dishes. Thanks for reading today’s blog!!!
