We started the day off by waking up at 6:30 to go to the beginning of the camp meeting with Big Mike (director). The meeting was at the end of the dock at a restaurant, and it was very long. After the meeting, Violet, Enya, and Ainsley went to a shop to buy more towels. Everyone then went back to their boats and got ready to sail to our new location for the night. Dive side and sail side parted, sail side sailing off, and dive Side went off to complete their first dive. During our dive, we separated into two groups: Gene’s group and Maeve’s group. In Gene’s group were Cora, Moseley, Max, Finn, Enya, and Sultan, and in Maeve’s group was I (Asha), Piper, Violet, Yuni, Isla, and Ainsley. Both groups reviewed our beginner dive skills to prepare for our future, more advanced dives! After diving, we went back to the boat, took our equipment off, and jumped back in the water for our ocean showers. Enya and Cora then got started on dinner as our chefs of the day, and we ate our food and hung out on the couches. After dinner, we did squeeze, which is when we all hold hands after dinner, and the skipper of the day, which was me, comes up with a question for the group, and we go around answering the question and saying what we were grateful for that day. There are three boats on the dive side, and after we cleaned up and squeezed, the boats came over for a quick refresher diving quiz. We ended the night sitting on the rooftop and talking until we went to bed. Overall, the first full day was very fun!
