British Virgin Islands - 2025, Session 1

Good day from BABA JAGA!

Location: West End, Tortola

Your merry crew eagerly await our adventures together on the Caribbean Sea, the crew consisting of Lindsay, Maeve and Gene. We have been working hard these past weeks in order to get all the equipment, food and teaching utensils onboard Baba Jaga to allow us to have an epic summer together exploring the beautiful islands and surrounding waters of the British Virgin Islands.

A little more about your crew:

Lindsay - Skipper / Dive Instructor

Growing up with a 5-minute cycle to the nearest beach on the North Coast of Ireland, Lindsay has spent every season in, on, or around the water; whether sailing, surfing, diving, or swimming. After working as a carpenter for over a decade, he pursued his passion by working professionally as a SCUBA Instructor and Skipper, which allows him to travel the world and meet amazing people. Lindsay is excited for another summer, both above and below the waves of the BVI with AQ!

Gene - Dive Instructor

Gene loves the ocean so much that he can often be seen gazing longingly at it on the horizon. He grew up in New Zealand and travels the world for adventure. Gene teaches scuba diving to anyone within earshot and considers himself a liaison between humans and sea life. He’s a strong advocate for shark conservation and will strike up a conservation conversation with just about anybody. He can’t wait to return to the Caribbean this summer and live out his lifelong dream of being a pirate.

Maeve - Dive Instructor / Medic

Maeve grew up on a small Australian island and after exploring all over the land she turned to diving to discover the surrounding ocean and reefs. Preferring to be outdoors, she worked as a lifeguard for five years while studying and completing her Divemaster at her local dive shop in 2018. Always loving Ireland and constantly exploring the sea, she worked for two seasons as a Divemaster there before returning to Australia to complete a PADI Instructor course and spend time back home teaching in the tropics. When not in the ocean, Maeve enjoys hiking, finding live music and art, and always has creative projects on the go. Back for her second summer with AQ she’s looking forward to meeting our shipmates and setting sail!

We look forward to the stories and memories we will create this summer!
