Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

Today, we had to leave Mountain Point at 6:00 AM to go to the baths; once we finally made the hour-and-a-half ride, we put on our sunscreen and got ready to hop in the dinghy. Once we hopped out of the dinghy, we swam to the beach. We learned that the baths were the only island in the BVIs that was not volcanic. Also, all the rocks are made of limestone. It is called the baths because back in the day, they would take the slaves from Africa here to clean them up. Everyone wanted to go to a cliff jumping spot up in the rocks. We had to climb down sketchy stairs and duck through tunnels.

There were tons of people there, and some people were doing crazy tricks and flips. After hours of jumping and swimming and having a blast, we went back on the treacherous path back to the beach. Brayden, Henry, Redden, and I took multiple little shortcuts and climbed up through some tight Rocks. Once we all got back to the beach waiting for the dinghy, we would all throw one person in the air and they did some flips, we also got on peoples shoulders and did chicken fights. We hopped on the boat and motored to Spanish Town, on the way we were taught how to dock the boat. We successfully docked the boat and then had about two and a half hours to roam around. We all got lunch, ice cream, and snacks and visited a dive shop. We then sailed back to Mountain Point for the night. We all worked together to sail the boat. We had an awesome time, the only hiccup was the fact that the are flags got caught in the sail. We had to carefully fiddle with the sails and ropes to get it unstuck. We docked for the night, had dinner, and sang happy birthday to Henry, who was turning thirteen today. Today, Redden said “boat coat” instead of BCD (buoyancy control device), and we all thought it was really funny. We had brookies for dessert, which is a combination of cookies and brownies. We will most likely finish the night by playing games and staying up way too late. That was our day four of ActionQuest 2024!

P.S. To Mom and Dad, I miss you guys and can’t wait to see you. Can you please check on my bike for me?

Love you,
Blake S.
