We woke up to good morning showers from the unpredictable weather in the BVI’s, followed by a hearty breakfast of eggs and some fresh pan muffins baked by the lovely Mirah. We celebrated the savior of the boys’ head. Kudos to Ben for retrieving the pennies. It all began when Zane carefully hung up his shorts until 3 pennies plopped in the toilet. Furthermore, while Oliver was flushing, he happened to see a penny in the toilet and told an instructor. Two hours later, he thought one of them had taken it up, so he went to use it, and when he was done, he tried to flush, but it wasn’t flushing. Thankfully, our awesome crew members, Ben, Gary, and Claire, helped retrieve the penny and fixed the clogged toilet! Oliver held up his lucky toilet pennies while we all got dressed quickly, preparing for one of the many dives we would embark on. Time flies by on the boat, and before you know it, you’ve put together and taken apart your scuba gear about five times; checking with your buddies ends with a step into the water. When you take your first breath underwater, you never forget it. The pure silence followed by blue is calming. We began practicing skills as a team, and Eden always cheered us on.

We finish our first successful dive with smiles on our faces. We rush into a little lunch break involving lots of deli sandwiches, Eddie makes an elite sandwich. After that, We head for our first rotation day on Avizia. Lizzy and Dylan dominate as a twin duo, racing through the knots with speed and accuracy eventually leading us to victory in the relay race. After that, Evie, Millie, and Ava hopped upon a dingy. They continued on their journey through wakeboards and salty hair. After a long day of fun, We ocean-showered together and enjoyed a lovable dinner accompanied by Mike.

We are looking forward to another night under the stars.
