Location: Trellis Bay, Tortolla
This morning, our boat awoke to the delightful smell of pancakes, and the staff made sure we were awake. I (Liliana) was sharing a bed with Amaya and Suki. Collectively, our boat had a great night due to the well-working AC (this is a first). We ate pancakes and enjoyed a calm morning. Around 11:30 am, we went on shore and enjoyed a delicious lunch. I sat with Kennedy, Amaya, Katy, Pearl, and Suki. Cam, Dawson, Andrew, and Holden sat at a separate table while Jovian and Gavin ventured off. After lunch, we visited a shop where many bought T-shirts, and I bought a shirt for Kaitlyn (my younger sister). Then, we visited a grocery store where many snacks were bought. Dawson decided to buy a grenadine mixer, which he shared to make Shirley temples.
As we neared the end of our stay on Trellis Bay, we met at the dock and got on a dinghy (a small boat to travel across the ocean to bigger boats) and unpacked food and items we bought when we arrived on our boat. As we settled down, we started to travel to our next destination, Muskmelon Bay. On our way, we accidentally traveled the wrong way, which led to a longer sail, which many people on the boat enjoyed. When we reached Muskmelon Bay, we ate dinner prepared by Gavin and Jovian and took saltwater showers. While showering, we encountered someone emptying their tanks, which made the water smell nasty and temporarily stop showering. After this, we continued on our nightly dishy pit and deckie jobs along with other jobs. Later tonight, we will complete Forum, a deep conversation among shipmates conducted by staff. Today was a more chill day than most, but we still had a very fun day, and I can’t wait for the next!
