Location: Gustavia, St Barts
Today was the day of the sail. It was downwind, which made it easier for everyone and also was much faster. No one got seasick. We started the morning nice and late by filling the water tanks and Matty p doing customs while having breakfast. We then got ready for our calm and beautiful sail to St. Barts!!! We are all so excited—especially Carson, who is very pumped. Once we left, Claire, Carson, Dasha, and Z made a longer and better playlist with input from everyone. We got new watch teams; team 1 was Jack, Sloane(me), and Zoe. Team 2 was Adnan, Carson, Pete, and Z. Team 3 was Claire, Derrick, and Dasha. We take two-hour turns of helming and winching, then start sweating and tailing the main. This all happens while we listen to music.
Dasha made lunch, which was white bean Tuscan soup. Later, we had a musical sing-along because Sela has a lot of it downloaded, like Mamma Mia(movie), Six, Hamilton, Mean Girls, and a little bit of Descendants. All of the girls sang along, and we eventually saw the other boat, Different Drummer, and a double rainbow. 🌈🌈. The sunset, and we ate a tortellini dinner made by Dasha and Peter. We all went on the hard top and played mafdon’tolodon’tou’tou close your eyes and then open them, you supposed to see the other person looking and making weird faces), and what are the odds. We all looked at the night sky, and it was very pretty. Finally, we set up the blue lagoon, and people slept upstairs(on the hard top). GOOD NIGHT.
