Location: Marina Cay

Hiiiiii!!!! I would like to say that 16/16 people on the boat said that today was their favorite day of the trip so far… y’all are in luck for a nice and long blog tonight! To start, we had a wonderful sleep-in compared to yesterday and woke up at 7:40; breakfast was made by our amazing sous chef Milo, and we had his hand-crafted bagels, which were possibly the best I’ve ever had. After breakfast and clean up were all done, we lifted anchor and started our sail over to Tortola to fill up the water tanks (yay, freshwater shower!). The sail was invigorating; as Graytful was moving through an insane squall, Ruby was on the helm! We hit the boats record of sailing at 10 knots while surrounded by 36 knots of wind, it had everyone super hyped up! This led to a few celebratory dance parties and very, very loud music. Once arriving at a port on Tortola, a few of us took advantage of the UV index being at an 11 and laid out on the tramp for a short tanning sesh. While out there, we discovered that one of the beloved boat beanbags almost had no beans (hence the title of the blog); it was a sad day as Micah watched August rest on his full bag of beans. After the amazing tanning on the bow, our PFDs were back on, and the motor was taking us to Trellis Bay for lunch on land and some fabulous t-shirt shopping… in the rain. The squall that we had outrun previously caught up to us and won this time. Amelia was super stylish in her trash bag rain jacket and wore it proudly. On the dinghy ride to land, KiKi and Macy thoroughly enjoyed eating the rain and singing Unwritten for the rest of us to join in. Annika, Scott, and I enjoyed lunch at a sushi place while then later meeting up with the rest of the boat to all get T-shirts. We headed to the Loose Mongoose for dessert and lunch for the rest of the boat. August demolished a 60-dollar meal that included a bacon cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, lobster bites, a NY strip, and double mashed potatoes, which he ate with his NEW 28-dollar MASSIVE wooden fork.

Shortly following lunch, Macy and I both decided to invest in some deep tissue massages at the spa down the road (they were definitely worth the 60 dollars). We all met back at the market by the dock to do some last-minute shopping and wait for the shuttles back to the boat. On a serious note, it has now been two days since the horrible sardining of our heads (bathrooms). As we encountered Highlander, Ty got into a very long conversation about how dangerous the prank was with her “fish” allergy (she is only allergic to shellfish but has gained the identity of all fish for the purpose of reprimanding the prank). We’re now planning the demise of Highlander. Micah attempted to pick up a chicken, hoping to be able to put it on Highlander, but as Madeline was recording the smuggle, they were unfortunately caught by staff. When we got back to Graytful, it was time to start dinner, sail to Marina Cay, and have our shower party time. As Jasper had spent the whole day with us, he set up his camera and recorded our dinner while micing up myself and Ty. We passed the mics around doing some ASMR, attempting to speak in British accents and tell stories to the camera. After the squeeze, it was time for the DMCs to work on some practical dry demos while the rest of the boat did lifeworks. Now, as I write this, Milo is feeding me his special digestive cookies. These have become pretty popular on the boat. We are now headed to bed and are looking forward to a great day ahead of us.

P.S. For my family, Argyle, and Emma, I miss yall so much, and I love you to the moon and back 🙂 <3<3<3
