Location: The Dogs
This morning, we all woke up and had some cereal. Cameron made us some guacamole, and Jada made some toast, which might have been the highlight of everyone’s day. Afterward, we didn’t have much time because we had to get on this dinghy so we could scuba dive and do our first open water dive. Once we got to the place to scuba dive, we had to gear up, and from there, we could scuba dive to 35 feet. I (Vaughn) had two instructors and Sloane, but sadly, when we were starting to descend, Sloane couldn’t equalize, so she had to quit the dive, which was unfortunate. So it was just me and the two instructors, which was pretty chill, and I saw a lot of cool little fish. Magnus and Jada also saw a barracuda surrounded by a school of fish and touched a moon jellyfish! After, I got on another dinghy to more confined water so I could practice more exercises underwater. Once everyone finished there open water dives, we dinghied back to our boat and were met with Mac and Cheese made by our lovely staff (facilitators). Soon after, we had a short sail to Scrub Island, where we filled up on fresh water! Then, before dinner, we all took our final dive exams… and we all passed! With this great news, we had Tortellini and garlic bread, then shared our favorite parts of the day. Look forward to the next day, signing out
