Location: Leverick’s
After a start to our day with some assorted cereal, our first rotation of the day was dive chats for the different groups. Lucas, Asha, and I all passed our open water quiz with Grace. Our next rotation was paddle boarding, so we headed to the beach. After paddle boarding, we had a paddle boarding race against the staff and a different boat. Unfortunately, the staff won, but they had more paddle-boarding experience. After that, we went back to the boat and learned different knots. When it started pouring, we went into the ocean for a swim. Declan, Lily, Ainsley, and I did some diving from various places off the boat. Ainsley lost her watch, but with a quick dive to the bottom, it was found under a dinghy. For lunch, we had Mac and cheese that Mackenzie generously made for us. Our final rotation was water sports. Lily, Ainsley, Asha, and I went together to waterski, wakeboard, and knee-board. Asha stood up on the waterskis for a long time! After a quick ocean shower, we headed to Leverick to go on land, and we got our phones back for a bit. Later that night was the Leverick Barbecue. We had burgers and hot dogs with salad, watermelon, and lemonade. Since Max is vegan, he ate some tacos, and they looked really good. Lucas and Marlowe had an amazing time at the barbecue, hanging out with the older kids. Sophie, Kiara, Asha, Enya, and I hung out with some of the other boats and drank pina coladas.
