Hi everyone, this is Oliver filling in for Lila since she was feeling a little under the weather.
The morning sun was bright when Event Horizon took off to go to the long-awaited yet dreaded rescue exercise 7. This name had a strange stigma built around it, but the crew was going to learn how to incorporate a lot of their previously learned skills. We worked in groups of three as one person played the unconscious diver, another performed a mock rescue protocol, and the third collected any removed equipment. Those two hours were arduous, but the crew handled them well. But a few hours of the day passed, and the crew was, again, drained. We then embarked on our trip to Mooring space, a section of Road Town where our action quest boats were rented from. It was as if our boat had returned to its brothers and sisters. We all ate together at an amazing coffee shop with delicious paninis. Our coffee shop experience peaked when the player bought a BVI version of Monopoly, a flawless purchase that he claims, with a burning passion, was not an overpriced scam. After a trip to the grocery store, we had a life-changing bathroom break. When I tell you these bathrooms were life-changing, I mean it. I would host my wedding venue in one of those.
The AC was perfect, and it was probably the most clean and luxurious experience I have ever had. Also, Bianca, Daria, Cole, Avi, Amelia, and I have matching shirts which are pretty cute. The other good news was that after five days, Emily could hear again! I’m not going to be gross with the details, but the amount of earwax in her ears was not proportional to her small size. The last major event was a masterful sailing maneuver with Matt and Player trying to thread the needle between rocks and corals and going full sails just to present our dominance as the best boat in the Caribbean. After, the crew enjoyed an incredible dinner with Grace and Ethan. Here’s to another incredible day!
