Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
I can safely say as the skipper of the day, we all have had the best first day out sailing around the islands. After our group meeting in the morning, we set sail for the first time, all together to anchor at our first destination for our swim test. Ned, Lauren, and Georgia did an amazing job on their dive master timed swim having to swim an extra two laps around the boat than the rest of us. Everyone passed the time swimming, and we all had fun snorkeling in the clear water, me, Lana and Kate especially enjoyed swimming to the bottom to get a closer look at the fish. Avery was so excited to see a jellyfish, while Maude also took some awesome photos on her underwater camera! After having fun in the sea, we set sail again when Lucas and I enjoyed relaxing in the sun and listening to Garrison’s playlist, which I personally loved. Harry enjoyed sailing the boat by himself, pointing us to our final destination to Savannah Bay, where we will be staying for the night. Food today was very good, and I’m surprised I could like a “Sloppy Joe,” but with Stella and Aubrey helping to make our dinner, it was hard not to like. We all were anticipating the shower in the sea but found ourselves loving it as it gave us an excuse to jump in the sea. Plus, with the sunset and the islands in the distance, it made the experience idyllic. We are all definitely excited for tomorrow’s adventure.
