Location: White Bay, Peter Island
Today the squad on Event Horizon woke up (some at 3 am) to go meet Mike for the annual AQ second-day chat. Once the talk was over, we turned up the BOOTYLICIOUS and set sail to South Bay for our swim test and check-out dive. We did some rescue work on the way and got splashed by the waves on the tramp. We anchored and ate lunch which consisted of some phenomenal PBandJ’s before we jumped in. For the swim test, we swam against the current for seven laps around the cat and then proceeded to tread for 10 minutes (not everyone’s fav). After that, we did our first dive, reviewing five skills and swimming around with our buddies before coming up to ocean shower. After that, we did some more rescue work while waiting for the Sloppy Joe’s and mashed potatoes. Now we are cleaning and getting ready for tomorrow! It was such a grand first day!
