Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

Today we were supposed to wake up at “6 am” an hour later, and we all woke up and had breakfast. We then prepared for a morning dive, where we got tested on our underwater navigation skills. Thankfully everyone passed the test the first time through, so we could move on with our day and sail over to Savanna Bay, where we ate lunch and set up our gear again for our second “dive” of the day. For the next 2 hours, we were on the surface of the water, testing our rescue skills. We watched people pretend to struggle and try to climb each other if their partner got too close, but the best part was watching a group do the exercises in Spanish, yelling at each other. After that being in the water for a long time, we got out and practiced throwing flotation devices to imaginary targets. We then had our dinner, where we watched people from other boats swim from boat to boat until they found a dingy they could commander. After they circled back to our boat, they tried to take one of our dinghies too, but luckily ours required a key they didn’t have. Once they left, we waited for a bit, then launched our counter-assault, where we attempted to steal both of their dinghies Unsuccessfully. After that, we spent the next hour and a half reviewing material for our rescue diver certification test. When we finished, we hung out and got ready for bed.
