Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island

This morning we woke up while we were underway. The sounds of the engine, the wind, and the scuba tank compressor make the best alarm. We went to the beta wreck, which was a really cool shipwreck that was 90 feet deep. After we dove, we chilled on the boat and made lunch. Jayden and I made some grilled cheese (2 slices of white/wheat bread, one tablespoon of Mrs. Filberts golden margarine, and two slices of American cheese.) After lunch, we hung out some more, and Lainey and Sally had a mini rave on board. Then, as we were preparing for our next dive, something crazy happened. We heard a scream from the water and instantly knew we were in our second rescue dive scenario. The victim was extremely panicked, but luckily Lainey put on her gear and went to rescue him.

Despite the yelling, hitting, aggression, and crying that the victim was doing, Lainey brought him to the boat with ease. Teddy assigned everyone jobs, and then we got to work. Eddie spotted bubbles on the surface, which were coming from an unconscious diver underwater. KK and James geared up and saved him as well. Sally and Ozzie saved another unconscious victim, and Anzie and Ozzie saved the last unconscious diver. We got all the divers on board, but keeping them on board was a struggle. Eddie, Sally, James, and Jayden tried to calm down the panicked diver, which proved VERY difficult after the victim tried everything in his power to jump off the boat. Me, Josh, Chloe, and Anzie did CPR and rescue breaths on the unconscious victims. Luckily, throughout the scenario, the song “Nice for What” by Drake and “Year 3000” by the Jonas Brothers were on full blast, which helped us keep calm. (We didn’t know how to turn the music off.) The scenario ended, and we passed! After we recovered from the scenario, some people went on a fun dive at the Blue Chromis Reef.

KK saw a big pufferfish! Then, we motored to GHP and studied for our big test later tonight. Hopefully, we will all pass. We got to GHP, and Lainey, Anzie, Jayden, and I did water sports. Anzie and Jayden wakeboarded, and Lainey and I knee-boarded. Lainey and I competed on who could stay on the kneeboard for longer, and I beat her by 1 second. Then, we showered and rafted to another boat called “Good Times,” so we hung out with them for a little before dinner. For dinner, we had Breakfast for dinner which consisted of beans, sausage, biscuits, and eggs. Now we are studying for our test tonight, so wish us luck!
