We woke up today to my absolute favorite way to wake up, the circle of life from The Lion King. Every morning I come out of my cabin and see everyone’s messy hair and tired faces, and today Brendan’s was the most prominent. We all shared the very last bits of Evan’s cereal and started a quick cleanup. Our boat is the dive boat, so we had some other boats shuttle in and out to practice diving. Then the bracelet string got brought out. All made matching anklets. Louella was by far the best and made some for at least half the boat. After the anklets, Micah made some Mac n cheese, and we all gobbled it up. After lunch, Cobrin motored us over to the other side of the mountain, where we went diving. This was a very special dive because we are working to get out fish ID. Daniel Blake and I were in a group together, and we got a little lost but found some beautiful fish. We kept diving and saw the shark planes, which was surreal. Then Daniel and I went through the shark, and let’s just say it wasn’t worth it but made for a funny story. The fish that lived inside the abandoned airplanes were gorgeous. Luke helped us identify all the fish. On our second dive, Mathew saw a HUGE bottom dweller. Then, while I motored us over to scrub island, Violet brushed and braided my hair, which was very much needed. We had some delicious dinner and passed by all of our other friends in the boats we don’t normally see. Now we’re all sitting around waiting for a life skills chat and ending the day with another great night of sleep.
