Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
We woke up early today to the song Sandstorm preparing us for the dive that we were about to complete. After eating oatmeal for breakfast, we set up our dive gear and made our way to the bottom of the ocean on our first wreck dive. Right before we hopped in the water, we were told a bit of history surrounding the Rhone shipwreck. During the dive, we saw many marine animals, including a shark and a Caribbean Spiny Lobster. Once we returned to the boat, we made our way to Salt Island (where the wreck happened) and went on a short hike that left us with an incredible view of the ocean below us. Once the hike was completed, we came back to GHP and dropped an anchor, and rafted up with Good Times. After we went swimming for a couple of hours, we began the process of dinner. Beckett and Owen were the chefs and made Caesar salad and Cheesy Risotto. The last exciting activity of the night was a magnificent night dive. During the dive, we saw a stingray. At the end of the dive, Katie told our group to turn our lights off for three minutes, During that time, she waved her hands around, and blue bioluminescence came out, which was super cool. Once the dive was over, we were awarded with brookies.
