Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Hi again! Today we had an awesome day! We woke up bright and early, around 6:43, and set sail to West End (Where we began…), but not without having oatmeal first. Kyler, Caleb, Zack, Tylah, Alexis, and Alli had fun waking up Dylan and Brian, who were sleeping in the Salon. Once we got to West End, we did a major boat clean before heading to shore. On shore, we got brunch at Omar’s Coffee shop and got some groceries at the shop. We bought souvenirs for loved ones (and ourselves) and got to spend some time with each other just chilling out. It’s crazy to think that 17 days ago, we met on those docks for the first time and how much we’ve grown and learned together in such a short time. Once we were done on shore, we headed on our way to GHP (again). The sail over was full of UNO, naps, music, games, and laughs, and before we knew it, we were back at Great Harbor, Peter Island!! Scarlett, Jack, Kyler, Dylan, and Tylah went on a dive while Ty, Moorea, Alexis, Alli, and Zach stayed back to work on our research projects (Caleb and Brian were there for mental support and distraction). Once our divers got back, our night divers snorkeled their dive sight and got their kits set up. We had some great Mexican food for dinner made by Jack and Dylan. Some shippies enjoyed hitting each other in the face with tortillas until they spit their water out, and some other shippies enjoyed throwing leftover salad into the water while some of us were showering. After we did our nightly boat clean, our divers were off while Alli, Kyler, Jack, Scarlett, and Dylan stayed behind to work and hang out. The divers had an awesome dive with a huge stingray, Kyler’s shirt, and a sea cucumber. Once our divers got back, we had some shenanigans with Spiderwoman (Alexis), Eggless cookies (that was my bad) that turned into one mega cookie (thanks to Joe), and a mildly chaotic squeeze. Overall another awesome day in the books 🙂
