Location: Marina Cay
We woke up this morning to cereal. I had frosted Mini-Wheats. After Matt, Stella, and Claire finished the dishy pit, we prepared the boat for the morning sail. Thomas was pressing the anchor button, and Evan was pointing at the anchor so that Matt could drive the boat out of the anchorage. Then we spent the morning sailing around, learning about the sails, what they do, and what line does what. While we were sailing, everyone got a turn to drive the boat and lift the sails. After we all got a turn to sail and do maneuvers like tacking and jibing, we picked up a mooring ball. Drew and Meredith cooked mac and cheese for lunch and didn’t mess up the Mac and cheese like Drew, and I did a few days ago. After lunch, we took the dingy over to Bliss Point, which is the staff boat in the fleet. The staff boat had set up a boom swing for us to swing on into the water. We all started to just swing and have a good time until Jake (one of the staff)suggested that we try and do a back flip off of the rope swing. Everyone was scared to do a flip at first, but after I landed a back flip, most of everyone did a flip off of the rope swing. Evan, Kate, and Lyla attend to do their first off the dinghy. We all are still trying to teach Kate and Lyla how to backflip, but Evan was able to do a backflip off the dinghy. After the boom swing, we went back to our boat to finish cleaning the salon. Then, we sailed to marina keys while most people on board decided to nap. While Allie, Aidan, and Beth were letting the anchor down, we were all showering off the back of the boat. Lastly, we had tortellini for dinner with Mike(the owner of ActionQuest). Now everyone is dancing on the back of the boat to Bohemian Rapsody. Next, we are going to do life works as our night activity and go to bed!
