Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today, we have started with a burrito breakfast. We are going to the Shawmari’s boat. Next, we are going to Leverik Bay with sealing training. We have turned in our number for the driver and all other’s tasks.
At Leverik Bay, we have to buy pizzas (a little expensive: 20 dollars for one pizza) after making the same to the bay. On the boat, we organized three teams who took turns on the boat’s tasks, like ankle. After, we are going to our boat, “beso del viento,” and we have taken dinner (mashed potatoes). Next, we are going to be ready for the night. So we have the tank, the fins, the masks, and the weight. We have finally decided to jump into the water. We have started to go down, all of the boats. At the bottom, this is very obscure, and we are very close together. We have seen a lot of fish like tarpon and rays. We are going up to the surface. We have to take off the diving materials. After we have taken a shower in the dark sea, and off to bed.
*** Editor’s Note: Today, our shipmates learned the different points of sail with sailing circles. Each shipmate practiced every point of sail at the helm. They stopped for lunch at Leverick Bay, and then continued sailing for the afternoon. When they got back, we had our Summer Time Thanksgiving dinner with stuffing, cranberry sauce (see pictured), chicken, and mashed potatoes. No dive chat or sail chat tonight. Instead, we all went on a night dive together! There were a lot of sting rays. Some swam right between our group and the tarpon. Another big day!***
