Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
HELLO! Today we woke up at 7 am as per usual and had a lovely breakfast of French toast made by our chefs, Scarlett and Alli. Then we dinghied over to Good Times and had a dive at the same location our night dive was at, where we identified plants and animals for our underwater naturalist certification. We set sail to another anchorage where our skipper Tyler (American) drove the boat (with the assistance of Joe) to port, where we got our phones back and were able to tell our friends and family about our adventures so far. Tyler (aussie) and Caleb went to the clinic while the other Tyler, Zach, Moorea, Alexis, Jack, Dylan, Alli, Scarlett, Kyler, and Brian went on shore and did a supermarket run for the boat, which consisted of drinks, ritz crackers, and candy. We had lunch at Leverick Bay and headed back to the boat. The Neptune went to the beach for their exhilarating boat diver talk while the dolphins went for an interesting snorkel in the mangroves, where we saw sea cucumbers, an eel, and a bunch of fish. The sea cucumbers were my favorite part. The dolphins had a fun sing-and-dance party while we showered and all dried off in the hot sun. The Neptunes came back and we all dressed up and got ready for the Action Quest barbecue. Then Caleb and Tyler came back from being on shore in the dinghy, and we all cheered because we missed them so much. We dinghied over back to land for the barbecue, which was not great because we were splashed with a bunch of water, but we had a really good dinner. Jack got a bunch of people from all the boats onto the dance floor and really got the party started. The barbecue lasted until around ten, and we headed back home to soul rebel—a solid 10/10 day.
