Today is Day 16 already! Time flies here on Vela Vita (because we’re all having so much fun)! Today is our final exam day, so after a very chill morning and a breakfast of French toast, we motored to our next dive site. While we were underway, we all studied for our test (and JuJu and I might have taken a nap). When we got to the anchorage, we kitted up and hopped in our fleet of dinghies to motor out to the dive site. We dove with every dive side boat, so all of the Neptune, Dolphin, and Rescue programs! The site was really cool, but we had to return to the boats a little earlier because there was a super strong current, and we were using our air! Ellie, Juno, Maren, Kylie, and I all got some great data before returning. The other groups did too, especially Emi, Josie, JuJu, and Mahe!
As soon as we got back home, we had lunch and then some of us took ocean showers while Antonio, Juno, Ari, and Tyler kitted up for their second dive of the day! We worked on our projects while they were gone, and when they got back, they showed us the pictures of the nurse shark, spotted moray eel, stingray, lobsters, and Loggerhead turtle they saw!
We got changed for dinner and had a great meal, followed by our Squeeze: locking elbows like a choir and singing a verse of ‘Jingle Bells’ (we love to sing here on Vela Vita)! We’re about to review and take our exam, so wish us luck!
Signing off as your study-weary skipper,
