Location: Tully Gorge River
Today started off to be an early day waking up at 5:30 am to go white water rafting down the Tully River. Oh, how fun it was starting with category four rapids called the Alarm Clock to wake us up. After that, we went down a few more creatively named rapids and ended up at one called Instructor’s revenge. What’s instructor’s revenge you ask? Well, they alter the weight of the raft so that everyone in the raft flips out… I managed to stay in getting pushed out moments later by my counselor Liam. I later got him back sacrificing myself to get him in the water. After 12km downstream everyone was exhausted. Everyone slept on the bus ride home. After we got to the motel, we went to the grocery store and stocked up on energy drinks to pull an all-nighter. So we could spend all night together writing our lifeworks cards and saying our last goodbyes. After eating delicious pizza and writing our cards, we have the rest of the night to say goodbye and plan what lies ahead for next year. Goodbye Australia!!!
