Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

Teddy woke me up. In the morning, I ate a grapefruit while Teddy and James did a workout on the roof as the sun was rising. Pancakes were made as the rest of the crew woke up and were enjoyed by all. Griffin, Bianca, and Matt went to the island of marina key for a morning meeting with mister Mike himself. All allegedly, a match of raised voices occurred concerning the impending egg war on dive side and the alliances involved. Breakfast was cleaned up in time for the staff to come back and begin our sail to the Kraken (our next dive site). While this sail occurred, KK and Chloe tanned on the roof, and Ozzie taught Edward to solve a Rubix cube which he mastered. I had a nap. Once we arrived, we kitted up and splashed on the site. To our surprise, we were outnumbered 10 to 1 by the amount of jellyfish on the site. Upon closer inspection, my lip discovered they did indeed hurt. The site was named the Kraken based on a Kraken-looking sculpture that seemed to swallow the wreck. Unfortunately, this was annihilated by Hurricane Irma. The dive was pretty cool. Many fish were seen.

Lainey, Sally, and Daisy took their fins off for extra fun. The group practiced making bubble rings because, as we all know, you can’t be an experienced scuba diver without knowing how to form a ring out of the bubble you breathe out (I can’t do it). Once back on the boat, lunch was already made by the incredible Anzie. We enjoyed this during our sail to Muskmelon Bay. Jaden threw Ramen at Chloe for funsies. Following this, many people, including myself, indulged in nap number two of the day as well as played exploding kittens which has become a critical bonding tool on our vessel. Once arrived, we snorkeled the site as we would be night diving tonight. When we all got back, dinner was prepared by Edward and KK. We all enjoyed beans and rice. As I write this, everyone is setting up gear for the night dive, and the sun is setting over the HORIZON. It is bound to be an EVENTtful dive. Anzie, Teddy, and Ozzie are preparing to make brownies while the rest of us dive—another great day on Event Horizon.
