Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
What the freak is up, YouTube? Back at it with day 9 here. We woke up to a beautiful morning of cereal and oatmeal. A speedy dish was done by Red, Rachel, and Lucy. As we were sailing to the Rhone, I low-key took over sailing and was steering like crazy. Declan and Matthew were next to me, and we kinda didn’t even need London to help. We were COOKING. Reaching the Rhone, we were all locked in. Speedily setting up our dive gear and jumping in the water for a dive at the RMS Rhone, a fabled merchant ship from Britain. Exploring the underwater wreck sitting at a deep 80 feet was extremely fun, swimming through holes in the wreck.
Near the beginning of the dive, I was swimming along the broken hull when Madi kicked me out of nowhere. We sailed over to Salt Island while a bunch of us took a much-needed nap. After we arrived, London dinghyed us over to the shore for a calm little hike across the salt pond, up the thorny bushes, and finally to the peak of the cliffs. A couple of group pictures later, and we were heading back down. At the beach, while we were waiting for the boat, Red and I spotted some coconuts high up in a tree. And you already know what we were up to :).
Along with a bunch of other people from different boats, we conquered the coconut tree and cracked it open to guzzle down its heavenly water within. After we got back, everyone ate their basic Mac and cheese while Dawson and I chefed some Shin Gold Ramen, and oh my lord, it was spicy. So spicy, Dawson and I single-handedly finished an entire carton of milk. It was so bad he tried pouring milk into the bowl, which had me laughing so hard for 3 seconds until I had to grab the milk carton again. After the ramen, we had a one-hour session with the head before our super fun search and recovery dive. Mexican night had us all dead, dishy pit was horrible, and writing this has me super tired. Tonight, we learn about emergency oxygen and diving injuries: peace out, gang.
