Hi parents! Today got off to an early start at 6:30 to be ready for a hike up to Mount Sage, the highest point in the BVIs. To be sure we were fueled up for our adventure, chefs Alex and Rudy got out cereal to have before we left. As we were getting off the dingy, I actually fell half into the water, and Cara helped me rinse off with some fresh water before starting the hike. After a talk from Mike, we were ready to head up. The first mile was insanely steep, and originally, we were all together, but Grace and Madison were a lot faster, so they got up ahead of me, Gabby, and Marin, the wimpy Floridians. Eventually, the hike got enjoyable, and as we were walking along the road, we saw the rest of our crew! Liam and Lucy had found some friends from another boat, and we walked with them for a little bit. Then, upon reaching the point just before the national park section, I pulled off and got a banana smoothie with Grace and Lucy, and we started the trek through the rainforest section! Oh, and before I forget, Robbie and Rudy essentially ran the entire hike, and we proceeded to ask them many questions about how they did that later. When we all got to the top, there was a book to sign that you put your name and what time it was when you reached the top. I am proud to say that I made the top 100 people at number 86, Robbie on the other hand was number 2. Robbie and a friend from Pure Joy 3 ran to the top and Robbie lost his number one spot in a game of rock, paper, scissors.

After the hike, we all got lunch at a restaurant and yummy virgin pina coladas. Grace, Marin, and I separated from the rest of the group and did some shopping, and when we all got back on the dinghy, we realized we had lost Alex. Don’t don’t, and we got him back in time for the sandcastle competition! All of the boats competed against each other, but the true winner was FOREVER FOR NOW! We made a pretty awesome sailboat with real functioning sails (t-shirts) generously donated by Liam and Rudy. After we won, we proceeded to smash all the other sandcastles, jump in the water, and celebrate. All of that brings me to what we are getting ready for now: Sidney’s! A lot of us are planning to get T-shirts to remember the fun times we had. More to come in tomorrow. P.S. Mom and Dad, I am burnt, as was said in Sunday’Sunday’sbut it’s okit’sause it will turn into a tan. Love you!
