Location: Anegada

Today began with several rainbow sightings during breakfast after some heavy rainfall. Breakfast was French toast, and it was delectable, delicious, and tasty. After breakfast, we set sail for Anegada, which was a long and relaxing voyage that everyone needed. Everyone got a chance to man the helm and navigate us to the shores of Anegada. We all got to choose two songs to play while sailing, and it was a nice change to have some influence on AUX. During our travel, the rain rolled in once again, and Grace and Bianca jumped around in the downpour on the trampoline for a while. Once we arrived at Anegada, we ate lunch and got suited up for the Boat Olympics. Team Beso lacked the energy until we came up with a fierce chant that (spoiler alert) led us to victory. We were shuttled onto the beach of Anegada and started to prepare for the competition. The first challenge of the day was a noodle duel on a paddle board, each boat sent one champion to compete, and we sent out big boy Ry, who, after many matches in a best-of-three bout, tragically lost. There was a major asterisk on the victory, but it was overlooked by the officiation. Our next challenge was a fender rodeo in the water. We sent out heifer Charles, who put up a good fight but was no match for the dwarves he was up against. Our chance of victory was not looking bright, but the next event was ours to dominate. The challenge was to dig a trench deep enough to crawl into without bumping the paddle that rested over the trench. After climbing through the trench, the challenge was to sprint into the water, swim to a dinghy coated with soap and climb into it while getting attacked by councilors. While climbing into the boat, Ry smacked one of the counselors and peaced out back into the water.

Where we had to swim back to the beach and tag another shipmate to repeat, this is where we shined. We absolutely dominated the competition with a team of Ry, Bianca, Kel, Charley, and me. After another small competition, we were tied for first with Shape Up, and we put them in the dirt in a tug of war to claim Boat Olympics champions. We bumped to “We Are the Champions” by Queen and set off to a new anchorage. We arrived at another bay off the coast of Anegada and showered up after a day of working hard in the sand. We ate a scrumptious dinner of Risotto and cleaned up for the night.
