Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

Shortly after the sunrise, we all awoke, and we gathered around the table for breakfast to debrief the exciting rotation day that was ahead of us. I was very excited because it was Peyton, Anne Faye, Paloma, and my first dive! Even though it was only a short checkout dive, it was so much fun to be in the water! The divemasters, Nathan, Parker, Liam, Alicia, Allie, and last but not least, Aria’s first time learning and assisting other groups on their dives to become the best dive masters yet!! While the dive masters were assisting the advanced divers, Peyton, Anne Faye, Paloma, Jack, and I went on our water sport journey. Peyton and Jack absolutely crushed wakeboarding and impressed everyone! I knee-boarded, but it took me a few tries to actually get on my knees instead of just on my stomach, oops. And Paloma knocked it out of the park with her waterskiing; she looked like a pro! The whole gang (divemasters and advanced divers) all returned to home base for lunch to eat some delicious chicken salad sandwiches, McKenzie cooked them with love! The dive masters, after lunch, went to take their swim test, while the advanced divers went to go zest! Zesting was so much fun! Jack went on his own boat and mastered it, flipping only once! Paloma and Anne Faye went on another and they crushed it as well, only flipping twice! Peyton and I flipped a few times in the beginning, but we got the hang of it by the end. This is where we flipped the zest 3 times in a row because we couldn’t stop laughing! We then moved the Nacho Dinghy to a new spot, on the way, everyone talked and rested until we reached our destination. Before dinner, the dive masters did their dinghy training, while everyone else read our diving books. We had a wonderful pasta, beef, and tomato dinner, and all enjoyed the beautiful sunset to end the perfect day! 🙂
