Location: Gibraltar

Today we got to sleep in nice and late until 8:30 when we woke up to Emily playing hype music and balloons in the chart house blown up by Brig, Lana, Logan, and Emma. Rook, as head chef, led Hays and Nicole in making Spanish tortillas for breakfast with a side of rice, then from there we got to work on passage prep. We took off all the sail covers, reattached the halyards, 40/40 the salon, and Sadie helped Alex organize his bunk. Then we left the dock to head to the fuel dock. Once we got to the fuel dock and got all our lines secured, lunch was ready. We had leftovers, pasta from yesterday reheated, as well as a salad, and the meat sauce that was from our taco bowls. Once cleanup was over, we finished cleanup fast, and Alexis, Logan, Maya, and Shane dove headfirst into the Laz with help from above from Rook, Payton, Alex, Maya, and Sadie. Shane and Alexis went in to grab Ply from the depths for Jack, Charlie, Lou Lou, Lana, and Avery to build while Zac, Hays, and Brig cleaned out the head filters. After we were all fueled up, we headed off the dock, and Shane, Alexis, Rook, and Lana dropped the anchor, which was a little difficult, but it was solved in the end. Once we were all anchored, everyone headed to the cockpit for leadership class, where we did watch team leader trivia, which team 2 won.
If you got a question wrong about your watch team leader, you had a bucket of water dumped on your watch team. For the final round, each watch team asked their leader a question, and Shane had to guess Hays’ Waffle House order, which he guessed correctly. Before dinner, we took Ocean Showers and took a swim in the ocean. Dinner today was Bangers and Mash, so once everyone was done with their firsts, people were quick to get seconds. Now we are finishing up the cleanup and getting ready to watch Around the Horn, a sailing documentary made in 1933, before we go to sleep.
P.S. Payton drank a Fanta today.
