Location: Passage to Antigua
The start of this tale is mind-bending, head-boggling, terrifying, and exhilarating! We woke up an hour later than usual, around 8, and had a really peaceful morning: snorkeling, showering, and just overall in the water. After getting out, drying off, and heading on our way, we saw a ship come out of nowhere. As if it rose up out of the water!!!! It was OceanStar! A Seamester boat from the same GxG program-like action quest. Anda immediately runs down to the VHF to contact them, as he knew a few Staff aboard the ship. He takes the VHF in hand and yells, “What’s up, Sammy!!!!!!”
From the cockpit, we hear very muffled screams through our VHF. We all screamed down, “Say it more clearly!!” And Anda nails it the second time. With OceanStar contacting us back, Anda asks, “Is Sammy on board?” They hail back “Yes”, and Sammy gets on the VHF. They talk for a bit, then say they’re fair wells. After that, we are on our way to Antigua! A walk up to the cockpit mid-journey, and you might find everyone jamming to Katy Perry. I look to the front of the boat and see Alejandro, Ethan, And Anda sitting up front, getting hit by wave, after wave, after wave. It was so funny to watch for hours. After a couple of hours of watching them get hit by wave after wave, they stopped and went back inside. I went to the side of the cockpit with Anda. We began to jump at the perfect time to where it felt like we were floating. It was like being on the moon because the waves were so big!! Jada, Claire, Mary, Ethan, and our medical staff/ first mate, Aidan, were all watching us jump super high. Then it was becoming nighttime, and most people started to fall asleep. Carolina, Anno, and Claire all slept in a circle inside on the couch. Most people started falling asleep, so I’ll skip forward a bit to when Ethan and Anda were Awake around 11 or 12 O Clock. Ethan was just very tired, but Anda is what I call Sleep hysterical. He would fall asleep suddenly, wake up, say something, and fall asleep again. Ethan and I were laughing so hard at Anda that we got even more tired. We eventually anchored in Antigua, and everybody fell asleep immediately.
