A lot happens in three weeks. Our Vega students became open water scuba divers, and our Barracudas and Carinas became Advanced Open Water divers. Everyone also sat for their IYT crew certification examinations. However, these certifications don’t even begin to sum up the lessons learned from this program. When the furthest you can get away from someone is 51 ft, you learn very quickly that there is something in everyone that you can connect with. The crew of Sambamba is in no way the same as it was when everyone set food on this dock, and the staff too will never be the same after having the pleasure of sailing with these wonderful students.
