Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

Today was one of our most eventful days yet. This morning we woke up at 7 am to loud music. Thom and Clemmie got straight to making some very yummy pancakes. We got to eat them while Annika, Anzie, and Ruby went to a meeting. We cleaned up quickly and got ready for the day on land ahead. Since we were the only ones on the boat for a little while and we couldn’t live without music, we sang our own songs together. As soon as they got back, we went to lift the anchor so we could sail to our lunch spot. As August, Sadie, Madi, and I were lifting the anchor out of the water, we noticed something weird: we had pulled up an entire log the length of our boat with our anchor. We all had a really good laugh and were in shock, then got to work trying to untangle the log. It took about half an hour, but we finally got the anchor free. As soon as we could, we headed towards our lunch spot on land.

We got there a little late due to our slight issue and went straight on land. We found a very good local restaurant, and most of us got pizza or burgers and the best mango smoothie ever made. After finishing up our food aTom’sm’s multiple mango smoothies, we headed to the grocery store and stocked up on some of our personal snacks, and I, of course, had to get a couple dr peppers to save 😉. After that, we went to the best shop for T-shirts, and we all got different color matching shirts. August and Thom had a blast stealing dr peppers from the 12-year-old boat and ran around with them chasing them for a while. We all had a good laugh and had a blast walking around, hanging out with different boats, and seeing the town. After a couple of hours, we went to the dock and headed back to our special little home.

As soon as we showed off our new shirts to everyone, we changed into our swimsuits, and everyone went on a little swim while Eva, Lexi, Emma, Zoe, and I went up and tanned for a bit. After a bit of chill time, I cut up the pineapple we have been eyeing for the past couple of days, and it was so so yummy (We are obsessed with our fruit). Then we set sail to the prettiest place we have been to yet. We had a peaceful sail to this spot thanks to August. We took our ocean showers quickly while Clemmie and Thom prepared our dinner. Tonight we had a guest over for dinner, and he brought over the spiciest hot sauce ever. Of course, we all had to try it, and of course, Jerry had no reaction to it at all. We played a game of hide and seek after cleaning up dinner, and now we are getting ready for bed. That completes one of my favorite days on Oryx yet.
