Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

It began by us all waking up very early in the morning. First the instructors of the boat Aeolus, which my and my crew were on. Everybody seemed to appear in a different mood. Some were bright and up about helping the instructors with what they asked, while others were slower to get out of bed and prepare for the long day ahead. When everybody finished up their required basic assigned jobs it was time to set sail into the waters of the British Virgin Islands. On this trip, I was assigned captain of the boat. At first, it was a bit of a challenge figuring out how to control and steer the boat and what operated what. I was shown by the instructors how to work/operate the boat. I still did not get it. It was not until a long time of mistakes before I finally grasped the concept, but then I got it. That was awesome in the sense that I thought I could master the concepts and when I figured it out I felt as if I were a king sailing with my crewmates through an endless voyage of undiscovered territory/area. date: Jul 31, 2017
