Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Today started with a relaxing sail back to West End for restocking on water and eating breakfast at the much loved Omar’s cafe. We then left port and undertook a three-hour sail, which was used to study for our upcoming rescue and EFR tests. After dropping the anchor at Great Harbor, Peter Island, we jumped into our first real rescue diver scenario, which came as a complete surprise to all of us. We worked as one big team to safely get one panicked and two missing divers out of the water, onto the boat, and give CRP and emergency oxygen. It wasn’t perfect, but I’d say it was a great start to our six scenario dives. Afterward, we split into two groups, divers and water-skiers/wake-boarders, and spent the next few hours having fun in the water. As the sun set, we enjoyed a crazy dinner of Mexican night and sat on the hardtop to watch the sky. Now we’re getting ready to start our review for the test tomorrow – wish us luck!
